digital dash problems

hi,

I have just purchased a tempra td estate and was aware that the sunroof does not work and interior roof lights when I bought it. But assumed it was a fuse issue.

However I have since found that the clock resets itself when I turn the engine off and the mileage resets to the starting mileage unless I go for ten miles. Which makes the mileage seem not so good now.

Help, is this a fuse isssue?? A common fault or a major problem????? Anoyone got any ideas??

Im no mechanic, but i have heard that when the digital dash goes on them buggers its easier and probably cheaper to just sell it.

Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh but thats what i have heard.

My m8 had the same problem, he got his m8 to nick a the same car and they switched the dash and dumped the car down the road... OK so its a risky deal but I guarantee it will work, and if your lucky it will now say you have done less miles than you actully have done.

1ST THING IS TO CHECK IS THE FUSE (SERVIZI/SERVICES FUSE OF 10A FOR ALL - RADIO POWER SUPPLY, INTERNAL ILLUMIATION, MAP READING LIGHT, ALARM, GLOVE COMPATYMENT LIGHT, TRIP METER & CLOCK. (ALL UNDER ONE FUSE USING 10 AMP.

JUST TO REMIND REMOVE THE IGNITON KEY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE FUSE.
