Tried to declare SORN on the DVLA website and it's saying no vehicle can be found for the reference number I've entered.

Couldn't SORN it last night online either.
Not sure I trust them to get the new tax disk online either or should I go to a post office for that too?

if i still have tax i normally use online, if its run out i got post office, not all do tax though im pretty lucky as there is one in next village that does it and one on the way to town

Hellcat, their online tax disc thing is down for maintenance, I wonder if the SORN system is the same?
I always tax online and have always got my tax discs through just fine
The DVLA website has been having problems all week. Tax and SORN being the most noticable.
i tryed to SORN my car couple of weeks back, and didnt work jsut ring them up it took me 2 mins on the phone really simple to do and you cant tax a car if it doesnt have insurance if your cars taxed it has to be insured if not there could be a nice fine of £5000 and your car taken

Didn't help over a weekend though as there's nobody there!
Car is SORN now, in a garage awaiting a new owner to take her away and plan nicely.
do you have to declare your car being back on the road? or just get tax and that cancels out the SORN?
Taxing it tells the dvla that its back on the road
yeh i know now
just was making sure but asked at post office and found out and taxed it so back on the road i've missed driving rather alot..
