Diesel to become EVER such a lot more expensive?

current media buzzword is CO2, so thats why the current taxing is done on it. NOX therefore isn't as dangerous, because it's not raping polar bears and melting trees - it has real effects.. so no-one cares.

CO2 hasnt even effected climate change anyway, it's a load of horse****

Diesel produces a load more PM10 and PM2.5 particulates....which are carcinonegenic, mutagenic, and teratogenic...so cause cancer, mutations in cells, and mutations in offspring...its great stuff it really is (y)

All this talk of diesel and it's cancer causing particles makes me feel so much better about the Marea being rated ay 236co2. I might get it tight at RFL time but atleast I'm not killing the planet as fast as the government would have me believe. :D

i'm on the verge of getting a facelift 156 JTDm 16v 6speed 150bhp sex machine because the amount i need to borrow would have a smaller repayment than the amount i will save on fuel (seriously!). if that autoexpress report is true them my plan is doomed to epic failure.

but hang on, when has autoexpress ever got anything right? very rarely.

add to that the fact that there is no reliable source with the same story (other than the usual autoexpress copycats)

phew, i nearly got cauigfht out by autoexpress there, silly me i really should know better than to believe their nonsense.

my favorite piece of global warming crap is the latest claim, "global cooling is caused by global wamring". the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has acknowledged that the earth has actually cooled since 1998, back to its 1900 temperature. IPCC staff are trying to say this is evidence of global warming. i'm still trying to figure out how the hell educated people can make such stupid claims without losing their jobs.

 Its "What Car" Jug... is that the same, better or worse than Autoexpress?

oh in that case its slightly more likely to be true.

EDIT: its definately true, you cant argue with reuters

oh well, good bye JTDm plan, hello my suddenly economical twinspark!

:D Quality Ffoxy post! (y)

P.S. I have to agree on the Global Warming / Cooling crud... OMG how those who are blinding us with science and baffling us with bull**** are squirming to make us believe.... It aint workin folks...

Anyone thought that there may be flip side to this, actually cheaper!, no seperate storage facilities, production lines etc. The fuel we use onboard is pretty low sulphur already these days, even lower if the bad sulphur reducing bacteria are present. We measure economy in cubes per hour - 2 is pretty good on diesels, with all the turbines on 8 cubes an hour. It would be interesting to know how much is currently made for marine use and road use. And as per my opening line, if it was cheaper to manufacture, I bet will still pay more.

i looked at the article and thought horsesh*t and heres why.

There will be less demand for Marine fuel, which comes from oil
there will be more demand for Diesel, which come from oil

They will just make less marine fuel and more diesel, therefore levelling the prices.

Example

10 years ago a good tape playing walkman cost £60-£100, an mp3 player ipod thingy would have been astronmical at i think about £350ish

now everyone wants mp3, ipod thingies, and they range in price from a tenner or so. Sony still make cassette walkmans but they are £20 or so as demand is less

i think that example is flawed and full of holes, but im tired

It's excellent the way these companies and our government can easily pull their followers strings via supply and demand.

Theres simply no need for it, it's just there purely to make money.

In theory, everything in the world could and should be free, as no-one is able to live forever to wrightfully claim anything to be theres.

It's just pure greed, made out to look like "oh it's in short supply" and the other usual bull****.

The only thing that can put a stop to this is mass riot, only people are too "scared" to appose things these days, myself included.

But it is the only way. Next time there is a fuel protest, I hope it goes on long enough to bring the country completely to its knees.
