We run 4 Fiats (2 Doblo vans, 1 new Bravo Eco, 1 Punto van). Ive seen a 1.3 multijet diesel Grande Punto on a 57 plate with 72,000 on clock

I'm a bit suspicious because the price is right, but its had new injectors and a new timing chain. none of which was done under warranty.

Now I thought the idea of a chain was to get away from regular changes, and the seller says that injectors aren't covered by warranty.

Any ideas or experience of these engines? Or should I avoid it like the Plague?

hi, the only problem I've known on these engines was weak water pumps, the timing chain should be good for 150 to 200k, With new chain and injectors, I think the mileage is suspicious, maybe its done twice the miles ?

I've got 2008 1.3 multijet 500 with 66000 miles on the clock with a broken chain and the injectors are proving to be a nightmare to remove so I can carry out removing the cam carrier. So don't be too surprised why they have both been replaced on your Doblo van.
