Hi,

I picked up my new 500 Twinair on Monday, and found that I'd apparently asked for Diamondbrite... Does it come already on the car, or do I have to apply it myself? I'm just wondering what the little bottle of stuff is that was in the car, is that for me to apply asap, or do I have to use it everytime I wash the car? I wasn't really given any info on it .

Thankyou, and sorry if this has been asked already :)

Oh i bet you asked for Diamondbrite (check your invoice this "kit" stands the salesman in line for some healthy commission and usually you £2-300 for the privilege)

The monkeys ... .Sorry i mean valets at the car show room should have "applied it " for you..... Problem is half the time its not applied very well if at all....

The little bottle is probably shampoo which "you must keep using to keep the magic warranty up on the protection (can you tell im cynical about it)

what did you get did you get these?

Hi,

Thank you for the reply!
Just found Diamondbrite on my invoice, hadn't noticed it before. I hope it's been applied, I'm really no good at applying any form of wax, polish or whatever to my car.

The bottle I got was this one:

so I need to use this every time I clean my car? Or do I need to buy another type of shampoo sort of solution?

and this sticker is in the windscreen:

My car does look very nice and shiny, but I'm not sure if this is due to the Diamondbrite, or just the fact that she's new and clean.
The 500, and the car in the 2nd link look amazingly shiny :) I hope I can keep mine like that.. I think I failed in that department with my last 500.

Thank you
Amy :)

£249. I do remember being told about it when ordering the car, then saying I didn't want or need it... But I've ended up with it anyway. I was told about it when ordering my previous car, and turned it down then too.

looks like its what ever was left over....

you should have got a care pack iirc

To be honest

A i would go nuts at the dealership but you probably wont get anywhere with them,

B remove that silly label they didn't even put it on straight :p

C invest in some basic car shampoo and wash it weekly until the magic coating stops beading water then set about it and give it a really good deep clean (bet they didn't do that before application)

then think about which way you want to go in terms of protection there are 100's of products out on the market to clean your car and everyone has their own ideas....

but a nice simple product would be something like Car pro reload or Bilt hamber Hydra wax after a good polish with something like autoglym super resin polish :)

the shine is all in the preparation take a look at these

Thank you Andy :)
I'll have a go at the dealership first.. I don't think I'll get much luck with them, I've been waiting for my 'refundable deposit' back since I got the car, and keep getting told they'll 'do it right away'.

That label has now been removed, and looks much better. You were right, it wasn't straight!

Wow, those cars look amazing.. I think that's going to be the way forward in keeping my car looking beautiful :)

Thanks again!
