Only had the 500 less than 2 days when some kind person inflicted a scratch down the n/s rear wing. Slightly against my better judgement I contacted Chips Away. He, Adam, came as arranged and took 3 1/4 hours to do the job. Now the car is back as it was and I can thoroughly recommend this lad for his diligence and care. Speak as you find but he was a credit to the company, job done on time and to the quoted price.

A kind person has also scratched my Punto T-Jet on the n/s rear wing only a couple days ago. Not sure how to go about repairing it, it's only top coat deep and hasn't reached the paint. I can barely feel it under my nail. Am also interested how much it costed you to repair yours!

Well, someone's getting quite the buzz scratching my car as I now have another one down the n/s front wing.....

It was £120.00. + VAT which I believe is the minimum charge. My local bodyshop charges £100.00 / panel BUT can take forever and I really wanted it fixed asap. When one takes all his costs involved, including travel here from the Wirral etc. etc. I am not complaining. you pays your money and youi makes your choice as they say !!!

Just be VERY wary of chips away or anyone like that.
They do not have the proper equipment to make the repair last any long period of time
Paint and lacquer need to be applied at around 25c which isn't possible outside and I was told from my tutor that the type of lacquer they use doesn't keep its shine long and eventually goes dull and like a matt finish

Thanks, the car was not outside and the bloke brought a specialised heat lamp to ensure the correct temperature. Considering the apparent softness of the Fiat paint I feel sure this repair is equal to that applied in Poland !! Will wait and see, it is warranted though.
