It's cold and dark and raining outside and I'm warm and petty well lit on the third glass of vino so I ain't going out to check but I've had Splutter plugged in like some sort of Sinclair C5 for the last 4 hours...

Think he'll have enough to juice him up by now or should I leave my electrical accident waiting till happen out over night in the rain?

Jim

Oh I forgot to say that the picture of Fred is when he ran away and hid under the bed clothes after I plugged the socket to the charger into the mains after it was dropped into a puddle....

That bear thinks I'm a liability, the cheek of it!

Managed to get Sylvia back after the timing belt and water pump went there... (oh the joys of non contact pistons and valves in an engine!) so jumped right into the car and we made the 125 miles to dublin last night in about 2 hours which aint bad considering she's 18 years old, had a hard life and that was passing thou 2 capitol cities....

Anyway it was just cause Fred wanted to go see men in dresses sing showtunes (badly)

He finds it quite entertaining for some reason but dear god he's rough looking this morning. Will have to buy a new battery on Friday :(

How much do they cost anyway?

Jim

I reckon about £35 to £40 is the cheapest you'll get a brand new battery. Classic Pandas are electrically undemanding and the smallest battery your local motor factor will sell will be adequate.

There's no reason why you can't fit one from a scrappy though. The round posts are standard on the majority of cars. You'd just need to make sure it fits in the battery tray.
