Still got to pay someone the time to fit a part like that. You say pennies but only if you know people in the right places ;)

Then of course you will want it doing well..

Makes me wonder for two reasons... why are some companies charging £500 when you can get one welded for £100?

If it's so cheap, why don't more people do it?

I'd be interested in a high flow cat to go along with my catback exhaust... so I am genuinely interested.

a lot easier to fit a sport cat than to remove and gut a manicat

not to mention the hazardous heavy metals you vaporized

you did a very silly thing, put yourself and others at risk and now your car WR57 UJL emits illegally breaking VOSA rules and potentially invalidating your MOT and car insurance

We all wore masks while we were hollowing it out, I not sure why everyone is getting so upset about this, I only asked if I needed to get it Mapped again

regular dust masks wont stop vaporised metals or gases being inhaled, only particles...

if you post about things that are illegal and or idiotic be prepared to be critcised so that others will be discouraged (y)

Quote from Longlife yesterday was £220 for a 200 cell high flow sports cat.

Not sure on the quality of eBay catalysts, but Longlifes 200 Cell Cat was £125+ VAT and then of course the fitting.

I think I'd pay the £220 and get it done properly. There is also a lifetime guarantee on the work done and the next owner can get this guarantee passed onto them if they take the car for a Longlife inspection at any of the garages across the UK.

BTW - I'm not a Longlife seller haha, I'm just a big fan after their level of service for me yesterday.

Hmm, I'm fairly sure you just come on this forum to disagree with everyone?

If you don't like opinions don't come on a public forum.

£100 for a map is good value. But not really when you consider it will be just a guy, with a laptop, plugging it in and uploading a generic remap file that takes maybe 20 mins :p

Quality remaps are well over £200 and are live, custom and come with rolling road before and afters.
