Dash Spraying

Anyone done this themselves with the spray they sell at McHalfords? If so, how easy was it and how many tins did u get? Did u need the primer too or did the colour go straight on?

I used same paint as on outside of car so exactly the same colour. . .

i didnt use primer but did use laquer or however its spelt. .

and did give it all a rub woith some wet and dry first!

I'm also undecided on colour. I dont want to do mine the same colour as my car as spraing it black could be pretty pointless.

Any suggestions on colours peeps? I currently have a few red bits of tack in my car (shoulder pads, mats, gaiter etc) so was thinking red. I am, however, seriosly considering white!!!!

yes to painting your dash mate but a resounding NO to doing it white !

I'm in the process of doing mine at the moment, plenty of sanding, plastic primer, blue paint and clear lacquer. getting a nice deep finish on it as well.

Hi Wimmy!!

If i remember Nikki said she its a bit of a pain doing the bravo dash cos of getting all the fans etc back in after.

Silver always works well but a lot of people go for that.

That was the same thoughts as me Al, wanted to be a little bit different with the white but am afraid it may look sh*te. Red looks good (Rob D and Al Wheeldon's deceased) but fear that it may make mine look like a bit of a brothel with it being a dark car and not red.

i did mine in blue wimmy, with folitec spray,i used primer, colour, laquer. i've useed the halfords paints, with all three again and it looked professional.

DO not spray the top of the dash a light colour it will reflect back at you at night.
a mate of mine did it in yellow it very hard to see when driving .
