dash instrument problem

HELP!!
Had a rear box fitted today, welded on but now there's a dashboard problem.
The speedo, mileometer, rev counter, fuel and temp gauges dont work!
Any suggestions of whats wrong?

Yeah, fuses seem ok and the other things that work from the same fuses work too ie 3rd brake light and cd/radio etc.

does the dash ligh work, mean does it iluminate the dash ?

who did the welding. did they dis connect the negative of the battery?

Yep, dash lights up.

Dont know if the battery was disconnected, hopefully it was but unsure, cant go and see him until friday, unless i'm on standby in Lowestoft over the next couple of days.

Take out the dash and check the connectors on it - there is a guide in the repair section.

If that dont work - check the fuses under the bonnet and ununder the glove compartement

havent checked fuses under the bonnet, will give that a go. It is hopefully fuse related. Maybe just a coincidence of the dash not working and the rear box instal.
Seems strange that the other items working from the same fuses work fine, hints that its not fuse, will check them all to be sure.

The one thing Im sure off, the temp gauge isnt on the same fuse as the rest of the dash, so check all

OK, checked each fuse by pulling it and checking, putting it back. No fuses blown. Tried ignition and everything works! It could only happen to a Fiat.
