Hi all
Hoping someone can help, I currently have a customer's 2003 Fiat Ducato camper van here.
Issue 1 is the cab doors wont lock, it doesn't have remote locking, when you turn the key only the 1 door locks (from either side) & as soon as you release the key the door immediately unlocks again......................If you do manage to get the doors to lock then the central locking unlocks both doors as it should. Are there any common causes????

Issue 2 the van is fitted with the semi auto gearbox & occasionally the oil over temp light comes on & eventually the van goes into limp mode, if you stop for just a minute & restart you might get another 400 miles before it happens again, so to me it seems like a sensor fault, can anyone tell me where the sensor is located?

Hope someone can help

Regards Colin

So the key has central locking buttons? Is the rubber over the unlock button warped and pressing the switch underneath when you handle the key?

No it doesn't have remote locking, you have to turn the key in the lock, I'm suspecting a dodgy solenoid but not entirely convinced

if one of the doors isn't shut properly, for example, the locking mechanism won't latch.

I'd be looking inside the non-locking door to see if the mechanism wants lubricating or if anything is jamming up thus giving the effect of a partially closed door.
