Hi all,

Came across these calipers from a coupe 20v turbo, I bought these cheaply so really got nothing to loose.

Looking to fit them to my multipla if possible but the coupe hubs look like they are a lot taller than the multipla ones as such so wondered if there was an alternative to using coupe hubs to fit them if atall possible.

If you change calipers, you need to make sure the master cylinder is compatible. IIRC The capacity of the pistons in the calipers combined across the brake system should equal the master cylinder capacity. This ensures you get proper control of the braking, if the master cylinder is too small (likely when you buy bigger calipers) then even when brake is pressed all the way down, the pistons may not put out their full force (espesh if you have low pads. Theres also balancing to consider, so if you upgrade the fronts then you may need to consider the rears too.
I'm no expert, I've worked on brakes and replaced lines, but replacing like with like is pretty safe provided you check its working properly before driving it. Whereas changing things risks it not working when you really need it if you haven't done everything correctly. Ideally speak to an expert or, failing that, look online at various sources on everything to consider when upgrading brakes.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I hadn’t realised that with the master cylinder, I decided not to pursue this due to the amount required initially just for them to fit.

Driveshafts, hubs, struts.

And decided wasn’t worth my time.
