Hi all,
Strange one this, and i may just be missing the whole point, but what is it when some one puts ?00 or ?50 etc for a price?

I figure its something to do with keyboard language conversions as ive seen it a few times, so what number does the ? translate to?

Surely its not just a term, as it leaves too much room for varience.

Can someone enlighten me pelase?

(i have a link with a few examples on if it helps)

Cheers, Mark

Think its time for a format.

Im running Windows XP, but i do have a virus or two that i have not been able to get rid of. Was intending to take Wednesday and do it then.

IF you know what the viruses are delelte them from MSDOS mode.

If you do format, Partition your Hard Drive and Install Win98 on one first then install Win XP on the other.

Use Win98 for manual virus hunting only and don't install nothing using the win98 os and do not connect it to the internet unless its an emergency.

Hopefully you'll never have to format again :)

actually this is the webserver/web developers fault 99% of the time, in HTML the £ is supposed to be written as £pound; [http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_entities.asp], however some lazy people (myself included) sometimes use £xx.xx, depending on the character encoding the page uses this (and certain other characters such as ') *may* appear as a ? as the browser does not know how to show it.

try viewing the source of the page, if you can see the £ symbol then its probably a case of what i said above. just checked the page you linked and they use the £ symbol not the correct html code
