The Connect Nav+ seems to use NavTeq discs. I've had a look at their site and they don't supply maps for anywhere except Europe and US.

Does anybody know if there are any other maps that will work in the system? For example MapSource or Garmin, which both seem to be available in South Africa.

I just want to find out all the details beforehand in case I ever decide to spring for a nav system on eBay.

Try emailing them and see if they have plans to expand into South Africa.

As demand is probably very low the answer will more than likely be no, but you don't ask you don't get!

Thanks... i'm going to write to them now... found this on their site...

"Recently, we rolled out new coverage in Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico and Puerto Rico while expanding coverage in South Africa and updating the Middle East."

Maybe, just maybe.... :D

You never know but didn't someone say they only sold about 20 Stilos a month in SA and how many would have Sat Nav....not many/any I'd guess.

Give it a go you might get lucky, shame you can't make the Nav+ a TV, keep me happy in all the M25 car parking I do.

damn :bang:

"At the moment there are only products for South Africa available for
Landrover navigation systems.
These CD's are not compatible with the Connect navigation system, because
every navigation system manufacturer puts it own driver software on it."

o well, there goes that idea :(

That is one thing the Ulysse has with its Connect+ system - 3 A/V ports in the glovebox, so you can connect things like tuners, camcorders, digicams, etc.
