General  Comfortmatic sensor

Currently reading:
General  Comfortmatic sensor

I havent been able to get out and test run the vehicle as to my health issues, but just want to ask a question, IF the auto side of the gearbox is playing up, as it is, then will the same error/s come up if it is put into manual mode and I change gears myself?
I suspect it might still play up as it may use same sensor to ascertain which gear is commanded and which gear it is in?! If not, then it'll be great to be able to drive it without the heart dropping worries when the warning chimes goes off!

In manual mode, it is the driver who decides when gears shall be changed, instead of the control unit (it will still make some shifts automatically, though).
But the pump, pressure accumulator, actuators, valves, sensors, pipes, connectors, wiring, etc still have to be error-free.
So no, I don’t think that is a workaround.

Still bedridden but I had another thought, this might be a clue but only you can tell me, my driveway is on an incline, and the road is on a decline, whenever I've used my Ducato I always reverse up onto driveway, from the position it needs to move from, and it being 4.5ton, and full lock on steering, it does struggle somewhat and most of the time there is a 'really bad stink' (clutch burning?) which kind of smells like a dead rat, I now suspect this could be some sort of clutch alignment issue? Would this cause the other issues?
Just trying to eliminate any/every possibility.

Hi, get well wishes.

No that's just very hot clutch smell from manovering slowly and awkwardly causing the clutch to be partially engaged.

No, no further changes. Is it a safe thing to do to run through all the gearbox adaptations in the MES menu? I've not run most of them as I have no info if I should just in case it upsets things.

Just to be clear, Other than production final and self calibration, I've not run anything else. Still get the 'Not Performed' after that calibration process ends but I understand that this may be a normal reading, which I'm still unsure about.

That's enough then. Stop worrying about the self calibration you have done it .
