Just another query to all you who have been there and done everything im about to embark on:

Would you go for a better colour of Bravo but in a lesser quality?
or
A better quality motor in a clour your not to keen on?
Thanks again.

Better quality all the way mate, if you go for lesser quality you might be letting yourself in for all sorts of problems!

Quality before colour. Ideally a plan would be to get both :)

I know what you mean with this question, when i was looking for another car. I also factor in sunroof.

good colour + good condition + no sunroof.

Quality over colour, I'd rather have a colour that wasn't my first choice in better condition than a car that was the perfect colour but a bit of a dog! But as Insy said colour and quality, bide your time and the right one will become available or wait ans save a bit more.

Fiat Bravo 1.2 80sx - 102,224 miles - and cleaned with Auto Glym! :):):):)

Had the same debate when I bought Betty. She was a red 105JTD with climate for £3000 & 46,000 miles.

Lozz bought a black 100JTD, no air con, 48,000miles for £3500.

Now Lozz's was a better colour & had the Euro3 engine but few extra miles but no air con.

Mine had the Euro2 engine, less miles, £500 cheaper, climate but was red!!!!

I was tempted by the black bravo, but the spec of the red, including the £500 less won me over...... and I loved the car so much I did over 50,000 miles trouble free.... because I bought the right car.

Now forward 5years I'm about to make the same choise. I don't like the colour BUT the spec and service is perfect so I have to lump the colour :)

On the flipside....

Thing is it depends how much you dislike the colour. I've never been a fan of silver cars and no matter what I did to the Bravo I had with adding goodies to it, I couldn't bring myself to love it. If it had been in Azzurro Zenith then I probably would still have it now.

If you don't mind the colour then it'll do if the spec is good.

I have to say my new Stilo spec isn't amazing, although has a higher spec than the Bravo, it was the colour that stood out for me. I was driving past the forecourt and there it was gleaming. So I would on reflection say that the colour does play a factor.

My advice would to get autotrader, find the motors with the spec you want and then look at the colours available to pick out the ones to see.

You can do that with Stilo's though Insy as there are a lot around, cheap as chips and relatively new. Lot harder on an older model.
No matter the colour though, the Stilo is still the Rooneys Prossie Granny to the Bravo's Holly Willoughby. ;)
