Hi I have a Fiat Punto Evo 2010 with 1.4 petrol engine which has the engine light on which seems permanent at present as soon as I clear the code it comes straight back next time the car is started I have tried both keys to vehicle but makes no difference. The car has no Symptoms what so ever, starts Ok and runs / drives Ok. Has anybody experimented a similar fault and have any ideas on the cause. Thanks..

SEARCH on here suggests its the Fault Code for 'starter signal'
Not something I have come across..
Maybe it comes with a U code that a lot of respondents will be unaware of..??
( as basic code readers are 'Engine Only' )

Hi yes at present only using a basic code reader, I didn't know if the code p0512 was common at all, and whether it just relates to immobiliser reader antenna around ignition, whether they commonly fail. As I found last night I can clear the code everything time but as soon as I start the car the code logs straight away only the one code.( again no problem starting) perhaps I will have to get a better code reading. Just wish I could extinguish the engine light as like I say you wouldn't know you had a problem. Strange... Thanks for reply.🏍Hi
