I have just replaced the Head gasket on a 1.4. Went to start it and there is a buzzing noise coming from the engine bay. Have narrowed this down to a fuse in the top left hand corner of the engine bay right in front of where the driver sits. I have also noticed that the yellow code light will no longer go out. I have previously replaced the engine in this car and can remember i had the same problem when i tried to start for the first time after that but havent got the foggiest how i fixed it.:bang: The car still turns over from the starter motor so i think it is something to do with the immobilizer. By the way, when i remove the fuse, the code light goes out but car still wont start. Any solutions??

use the red key, if that works then you can reprogram the blue keys into the immob using the red key. the procedure is on the forum, search the bravo/a section for "blue key programming" and i'm sure you'll find it easily enough.

Thank you for your replies and i have managed to fix the problem. A small connecter under the throttle body had come lose. I would like to know though, how would i get a whole new set of keys (One Red, Two Blue and a code card) when i have NO red key or code card and the only key i do have is a blue copy which is NOT a proper fiat key. I asked at a local Fiat garage and they said that the best they could do without a code card or a red key is replace all the locks and reset the code but it was nearly two hundred punds and i cant afford that!! Any suggestions?

Yup there are a few peeps:

None of whom i can find in my bookmarks at the moment, they specialise in cutting keys from locks, cloning fiat keys they were mentioned in another post this week, but cant find it just now.

Its easy to get the red key code from any working key and the code box, also easy to reproduce red key and blue keys, though I dont know how to generate the emergency start code card from this data. The only other data available is the blade cut code, but this is not really needed. See my web page for more info:- http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/datarecall/

To get a new set of keys you need to search the ASS of MASTER LOCKSMITHS for the nearest auto security specialists. You may need to send the remaining key by post. Onekey costs circa £30
