Good luck with the bleeding. I'm puzzled about the bleed nipple size, I would expect it to be metric.

Yeah, and it's not just me tripping, I've asked 2 other people to check just in case I have cheap spanners or something but it's not an 8 or a 7....

9/32" comes in just above 7mm but I am also surprised that it is not metric.

When the pedal felt like it had no resistance but was at least returning was it moving the clutch release arm?

OK, will have to have a look at that then...

oh and I can't select gears as it is even though pedal comes back up, so thinking arm may not be moving (far enough at least)

Has anyone bypassed the bulkhead bleed nipple in fact the whole unit..What actually does it do?? This has been niggling me for sometime now..I know on 300TDI discoveries they have a similar set up like a damper and I have bypassed many on my discos and had no problems at all..Oh and Im sure the bleed nipple on the bulkhead was 7mm on mine

Well I think it can only be the 9/32, and yes I'd cover postage let me know. ta

You could always file or grind open your 7mm a touch until it fits.
