Technical Clutch change

Congratulations!!! I really admire your tenacity but I guess you may not have had much choice in the end!!!!!!!!

If you could put up a 'how to' thread then that would be brilliant. Maybe each time one of us tackles a semi-routine piece of maintenance we could do that and after a couple of years we will have our own workshop manual online.

Well done.

Mark

im half way through doing my clutch on my punto (which really isnt as easy as everyone makes out!), i had to give up today. theres only soo much my back can take lifting the box up and down, ill try more tomorrow to get it on. it is so much easier to do on a ramp than the floor, but i can not afford for it to go t a garage so ill deal with it, was good to read you're experiences!

(y)Well finished car today, drives nice now.:D After doing the clutch 3 times, glad i have sorted it now.Just wish there was a good manual then it might of not gone in wrong.

(n) Get a engine /gearbox surpport, you can pick them up cheap on ebay.I used a strong piece of wood across engine bay and rope first time, brought the support second time £45 on ebay.
I had to do it on my own, otherwise you can manage with 2 people.:D
