Technical closing Tailgate - 3 attempts..??

Hi,
I've got my new Twinair , I find the boot opens fine, but takes 3 attempts to close/latch properly,
is this a common issue/fault ?,
or just in need of proper alignment..??,

My punto evo was like that at first, just needed a bit more force than I thought it would.

Probably an alignment issue from memory the clash plate can be moved by sickening the fixings

13 reg , 11 miles on odo from UK stock,
my guess is needs aligning correctly,

maybe have another issue..??,
no Screen wash visible AT ALL, so either empty / damaged or filled with H2O!!

either way not the best..,
I'll have to test in in the morning - filer neck feels EMPTY..!!,

Thinking about it, it may have been adjusted after it went in to get the boot re-sprayed (Under warranty ofcourse) when I found a blob of primer on the edge of the tailgate.

With a brand new car you can wait some weeks, the seal of the boot make it too tight.
If it don't go better after this time, Andy has wrote the solution, you can release a bit of tension adjusting the fixings.
(my blue car was fine after 2-3 weeks / the red one had needs adjusting)

I had this problem last year, ended up with a new boot lock catch, the dealer informed me that the hook is not fully resetting when opening and going to close, and the have had a few punto in for the same problem, dont let it carry on like me ended up without able to close or lock the boot
