So, I've got that issue where one of the climate control actuators isn't working (correctly) - the position one (screen/dashboard/feet).

The good news is, I've removed it, and both the white wheel that plugs in to the actuator and the airbox are both fine (I can reach up and adjust where air is directed to manually).

The wheel has a cut-out section, which corresponds with the bit sticking out of the actuator (see picture), I also coloured a part red to show where that cut out would be if the wheel was fitted.

Selecting any setting other than dashboard vents only moves it around to somewhere within the gap, but dashboard vents only winds it around outside of that.

I tried taking apart the potentiometer bit and cleaning it out, no help. Also reseated the plug and cleaned it and the socket with contact cleaner.

I'm not sure how proxi alignment/initialisation would help (mentioned on the Panda eLearn), I thought that was to register devices on the car's CANBUS system? Can anyone explain? Maybe some setting got lost sometime.

I'm not impressed for how much these actuators are meant to cost, put together with clips and things melted in to place like a cheap toy.

Some extra pics, should they become useful here or for future generations of Google users... :p

Had this with headlampmotors. When you take them apart, no obvious problem occurs. But only a new one works.
I think it has to do with broken copper wires in the motor itself.
Nothing to do with CAN or proxy allignment I think.
