Hello again. It seems that I have another problem on my recently bought Stilo MW.
There are some strange noises coming from the steering wheel every time I turn the weel left or right. I'm pretty sure their not from the steering column or the wheels.
They seem to come exactly from inside the steering wheel.
The noise is similar with clicking a mouse button, and it appear like every 90 degr. rotation of the steering wheel. The noise is there with the engine started, shutt of, also with and without the CITY function.
I've read something about the stalking unit ??? inside the steering wheel, but I have no ideea what that does.
So If anyone had similar problems please let me know how you managed them. Any piece of advice is good for me.

Thanks.

So those clicks are OK? because i don't remember hearing them from the first moments I had the car. Can there be a malfunction? Could something have broken?

Well, that's what it sound like: moue clicks, but they are rather loud, and i can even feel them in the steering wheel, just like something would be snaping or cracking inside.
I was hoping that maybe someone had a similar problem and could give me some advice.
I really think there is a problem, and it's not just my imagination.
Thanks anyway.

Chances are that there is something rubbing on the pole thingy a bit further down if its that loud sometimes the plastic trimmings and such like can come loose so follow the thing down as far as you can and look for anything touching it. Failing that feel around the area while turning the wheel normally the vibration will direct you to the loose part.

Oh yeah i mean down near the foot well sort of region

quite right volx

if someones changed the pollen filter or had off the centre console side panel in the past it is prone to coming loose- mine does, and once loose at the pedal end it can catch the steering column giving a vibration feeling in the wheel and indeed the dash.

reminds me, need to get a new clip or two to put mine back on
