Hello there, after reading through pages and pages of this forum iv decided that my lamba sensor could do with a clean on my hgt. I attempted this a few days ago and although I had no problem removing it, cleaning it was more of a problem. Does anyone know how to remove the casing? Any advice and pictures would be much appreciated.

you cant clean then as it will kill it. replacement is your only option.

I can second that.that part cost me 2mnths worth of headaches.

I even put her in the Loot as a result.Just beforei was take a lump hammer to her(such was the stress caused).I then got hold of a Lamda sensor for £35 from Alan Page and she was fine.

Only took 3 trips to fiat, 2 Fiat diagnostics, 3 garages and £300 to find out.

Re: lamba cleaning

Thanks for the advice, I thought I had read on this forum or the coupe one that it was possible to clean them. But now I know thats a waste of time Iwill source a replacement. Any idea whats the best option? universal part or specific part?
Thanks again

if you dont mind fiddling with the wiring, a universal one will do the job. buypartsby are quite cheap. Fiat main stealers are expensive though i think i heard someone say they'd picked up a genuine/oe one cheaply. Might have been ebay though, it was ages ago so i dont remember...
