I've read a few threads on here that suggest my panda could be classed as a classic car with some insurers.

However I have no idea what the difference between normal and classic car insurance is?
Just trying to figure out if as a new driver I would be cheaper insuring the car as a classic?

details:
I'm 25
new driver
K reg panda parade
third party fire and theft
been quoted around £600 on comparison sites that's with my mum and partner as named drivers!
(it's around £800 fully comp)

Any comments would be helpful! (y)

Genrally it is alot cheaper, however you will usually have a mileage limit and you will not earn any no claims bonus.

Most companies will insure a Panda as a classic (but it would not be as cheap as a 'proper' classic like a mini or fiat 500 etc) if you are over 25.

So as new driver I would be better sticking with normal policy to get my no claims bonus! Even if it is slightly cheaper insuring it as a classic car!(y)

thank you
x
