So the crank has been ID as a forged/billet after market crank? Who made it as i'm interested in upgrading from my knife edged crank.

Struggling to find anyone who will make one for less than £1000 (n).

I could get an alloy one machined for £850 but I have been advised against it because they aren't very durable. Alloy cranks are deemed as expendable, I don't personally think That amount of money is expendable :confused:.

I'm also intrested in this race crank. Details please. Got a steel flywheel and forged rods, just missing the middle bit

It is a fairly average build tbh. Until we see some print outs of the rr run and some flow results of the head.
I recon 75-80hp at the crank
 
well finally got my dexcraft carbon fibre throttle body bob fitted.
also removed my 2nd rpm/shift light/multi gauge and fitted a isotta sequential gear shift light.(not many of these about now)
oil pressure gauge
oil temp gauge
voltmeter gauge

cos my 2nd modded 8v engine has developed piston slap so before it destroys the rest of the engine I decided to strip it.
I got offered a complete 1.2 16v setup so ive bit the bullet so too speak and went for it.
I thought about a 3rd 8v unit but tbh ive had enough of them.lets hope the 16v engine is more up for the task lol
 
bit annoyed to leave the 8v side of things really cos this project was all about being an exact copy of the original trofeo but hey ive had enough lol
 
right here is the latest on the trofeo project.
it now has a 1242 16v punto engine
1.6 brava throttle body
weber pico 190cc injectors
custom made john Ashley 421 stainless steel exhaust manifold(no fouling issues with radiator)
stainless decat pipe with full stainless janspeed system
carbon bmc closed induction system

ok im waiting for the barrage of(thought u said u would never go 16v???)
I only did this because engine no3 was slightly noisey and this complete conversion came along.
but I must eat humble pie cos this thing is friggen rapid.i estimate at least 95bhp with the mods ive fitted,
95bhp/647kg = lots of grins lol
 
Yeah ive got a catch tank but havnt fitted it yet.and no im not using michelens.the decals are and exact copy of the original monte carlo trofeo rally car
