Hi all, this may be a brilliantly stupid question, so forgive me.
I know there are threads on this forum for ECU/immobilser issues, but i can't see anything specific to this. So, long story short, my Cinq Sporting isn't starting as the code light on the dash isn't going out, so i assume the key & immobilser are having an argument & no longer chatting to each other. My query is, I have a 899cc Cinq (spare parts car) if i take the ignition barrel, immobilser, keys etc from that & fit them to my Sporting will they work? As they aren't the same engine, I wasn't sure if this would work, & wanted to check this out prior to going to the hassle of having to take these parts off the 899cc.
