My Speedo Cable on My recently purchased Cinq Sporting went about a week after buying the car, i went to the main dealer and they were totally useless:bang: telling me they no longer produced the part!!!...so i eventually found a Guy on Ebay IN STOCKPORT ( IM IN LONDON) breaking his cinquecento sporting to sell me his Cost me £20 incl Postage for a used part

Not the money thats the problem but inconvience Of having no SPEEDOMETER lol IM also slighty worried the car came wid 39,000 miles an only cost me £500 but dnt know how long a previous owner may of had the car running with no cable!

ANYONE KNOW OF ANY OTHER LITTLE NIGGLES OR PROBLEMS TO LOOK OUT FOR ID BE MORE THAN GRATEFUL!

What!!!!!! lol
My Local Main dealer told me i could only get the top piece from the speedo of the 2 piece cable

Last time i go back there...

Just replace the old 2-piece cable with a 1-piece cable.

Desira (Alfa Main Dealers) are well into online trading and can deliver drect to you and are helpful too.

Shop4parts also stock the cable.

hmmmmm ive already replaced it with of used cinq sporting 1  but WHEN it goes ill defo check dat 1 out (y)

am also chasing a 2 part speedo cable - main dealer was no use and no scrapped ones to be found - Shop4parts out of stok of one piece cable and say it would not fit anyway - my garage think only option is to get a part specially made .... £50 or more......

hello mate, great to see another londoner (y)

other little known problems are clutch cable is known to snap if negleted, i always change mine every 18 months as the first time i bought mine that was the first thing to go. don't have a problem now with it due to me changing it at set intervals.
Also if you hear a clonking noise as the back that will probably be the rear arm bushes but once you change them for polybushes you won't need to worry about them for a long time.

Hope that helps
