Excellent work. And I wouldn't be too disappointed with the time, I think it's brilliant. iirc when EVO mag timed the 500 Abarth SS it took over 20 seconds to reach 100mph and 1/4 mile is probably in the late 16's consequently.
Well done for getting it this far considering the sheer amount of problem solving and effort that has gone in.

To improve considerably below 13 sec. mark in 1/4 mile you actually have to go mad with boost a bit, so I would not say your result is bad at all. Just this weekend there were 11.X and 10.X results from PL folks on a 1.2 8vT and t-jet respectively, but we are talking here about boosts of way over 2 bar and otherwise totally mad setups.
Running a standard c514 gearbox is my limit, i already have a superlight billet flywheel and a unsprung 4 puck paddle clutch and if she gets too hot i can slip it and thats at 232hp and around 300nm @16psi,
ive already well into my next project a rover 25 with impreza running gear and a 3.0 H6 engine that will have a massive turbo slapped on for good measure, being me its a sleeper too

Could you not pull the box apart and fiddle with gear ratios? What about the rear diff too?
Also did you try starting in second gear? Might take a little longer to build boost but that's counteracted by not having to change from first to second.

As some of you may know the fiat is now back off the road, as far as i can tell (havent stripped it down yet and probably wont for a while) i have managed to snap the input shaft of the gearbox

Well 5/6 months on still going as strong as ever so been preety quiet, get the occasional bit of clutch slip if i get a bad gear change but still plodding along

Well popped down to the fast show down pod and did a few 2nd gear launches
The weak 4x4 gearbox that wont take the power (as ive been told ) did another 200 mile round trip and 4 hard 2nd gear launches, best of the day 13.2 @107, clutch was fairly happy this time.

Also managed to get all 4 wheels off the ground with a hard landing a few weeks ago, result a sore back damaged seat and top mounts.
As for the red cinq? think along the lines of michael's twin engine cinq
