How much would people guestimate a full colour change respray for a cinq would cost with most prep work done up to but not including primer stage?

ive been quoted 650 for outisde and inside.
I'll been quoted 2000 for the del sol all dents removed, all panel aligned.
I think 1k to 2k is pretty much a standard price nowadays.

if i was to be quoted 1k for a cinq respray id slap him with a kipper 
my bloody brava only cost £700 for a full holoflake respray 4 years ago
and was quoted £600 for the mr2 last year

What about a wrap instead of a respray? Av seen a could now an could be tempted by one maself. Heard of this guy in Edinburgh, http://carwrapz.biz/ could be interesting price comparison? Could even get a big DUFC logo on the roof :wink:

Thing with the vinyl wraps though - doesnt the bodywork have to be immaculate anyway? IE you'd still have to go to the effort of having the car prepped to respray standard?
By that point the effort & cost involved to do the job properly wouldnt be all that much bearing in mind the size of car??

I've emailed a few bodyshops to get a few estimates
nae danger i'll get a quote of over 1k with me doing alot of the prep and the paint being non metallic, then again, i did once get a quote of 1200 on my old punto to repair a cracked bumper and i dent filled, so who knows lol

go down to dudhope coachworks and speak to him cant remember his name or try zibis across from the whithall theatre new place polish boy owns but looks like a chop shop also a garage behind arnold clark nissan as hes a friend of a few of the dundeecruisers may be able to help

A mate got his rear arch replaced and the whole side of his car painted for 250 quid from a body place near the town, just off broughty ferry road iirc, they replaced the arch and blended it perfectly, youd never have known it wasnt original, the quality of painting was excellent too, shame they painted the whole side of the car in totally the wrong shade though!

the price he paid for that work was pretty good IMO, like i say though the guy who painted it was talented but colourblind lol

Interesting to hear prices for this, RGZ's pretty much needing a respray given the number of dents, scratches and lacquer peel. Not sure if I'll bother though given the small return I'd get come resale next year :/

not 1 of the bodyshops i've contacted has got back to me
im guessing it's because it's a cinquecento and seen as not worth their while, a bit like when i was going to put my old one in a garage to get the clutch seen to and all was fine until they asked what car it was, upon being told it was a cinq i got 3 "nah, not interested, take it elsewhere"
nice to be able to turn work down.

I spoke to alania about a respray, the person who done her cinq, charges £1000/week. And she thinks 1 weeks will be enough for the cinq .
And i don't think anyone could doubt his work either, high chance i be going there with the sol.

fair play. a guy down here seily has done my mates coupe to a grand standard. quoted my sei at 650 inside and out. and ill be getting it done there. that was with body work. he works through word of mouth so he is cheaper for the same results....
