Technical cinq key codes

HELP!!!!!!
i have a 96 p reg cinq and the key code light stays on.This happend when I took the battery off to change the wiper motor
I dont have the red master key or the key code to do the emercency start up , is there any other way to start it ???

AFAIK, not really.

The code cards were not issued in the UK due to pressure from the insurance industry.

You might see if you can find an ECU with red key, alternatively a McCritch chip (something about it in the guides or FAQs, above) can by pass the immobiliser and give you a performance hike to boot.

What if his one is a 899 ??? Don't think the mckrich make the run right ....

Well if is a 899, may be get an early ECU, where there are no codes ???

Sorry should have said it was only an 899 soliel, so basically a need a new ecu?
How easy is it to fit one ? and is there a specific one thats uncoded?

i think (not competely sure) all 1995 or before does not have a code on them.

As for fitting, u only need to unscrew 4 nuts, then unplug it, then refit.

People have tried the 1108 chip in the 889 ecu and while it will run, it doesn't run well!

Looks as though the chip will swap physically though, so if you can't get an uncoded ECU, worth seeing if McCritch can copy a 899 chip without the immob.

Sounds as though you have disturbed the wiring around the battery area. Those immo's can give trouble but its quite rare. Could be you have cut or moved a wire, or blown a fuse in the area of the wiper motor, which you will still have to put right after you have bought an ecu. Also check that the plugs are fitted in the immo ok.

I checked all the wires and plugs and all seem ok ,i even put the old motor back on but it made no difference so dont think its anything i have done.
where is the immobiliser is it next to the ecu?

Its close by the fuse box, held in with a 10mm bolt.

cheers I checked that and its all ok ,I even put a new ariel on but made no difference.
All the fuses are ok both in the fuse box and by the ecu ,the fuel cut off switch is fine is there anything else I should check.

Ok just an update, I have changed the ecu and immobiliser for an uncoded one and it now starts and runs like a dream .Thanks every one for your help .
