My mate uses a garage that seems to take upto 6 months to invoice him for work. He said its great when big things go (like the engine in his Defender) as he can use it as a form of interest free credit and save up the cash after the repair is complete

I have a credit card, it's a cashback card. I use it to fill up with petrol, I get home and then pay the bill online straight away.

I received a letter this morning informing me, that they've doubled my limit. If I have to, I could use that to pay him. Or he could wait.

I've only been with them about 3-4 months.
I only spend £50-80 a month. I'm at about £12 cashback, but its £12 for doing nothing.

This is the one fitted to a '90 Panda - does that help at all? It's a Fiat original pop-up type one. Naturally it's sealed up to stop it leaking......

same as the one fitted to my sisley, that poured water in.. thankfully the seats were covered in plastic sheeting when i got it.

you can stop it leaking by adjusting the bolts holding the open and close handle on.. it works really well...

mine does not leak a drop even if you are blasting it with the hose now

That sounds worth a go - what needs adjusting exactly John? I know that sounds daft, but I've asked anyway!! :worship:

It looks totally different, if they all leak anyway. Maybe my superleggera plastic one will help me, when I come to sell it.

i took my sun roof completely out to clean it. the bits you adjust are on the glass side. the 2 screws that bolt through the glass. just undo them a bit and slide the whole clamp/bracket.. umm back or forward.. i forgot. to the point where you really have to pull on it to get it to lock closed. then it will seal magic

It's to do with the forum section, Leisure Lounge and Members Motors don't have thanks buttons, got abused in the LL and not sure if MM is a sub section of LL as its a chill out section, so might be the same.

yeah ive gone to thank some people before and found no button :/

i would of thought it would of been ok in the MM section? theres a lot of help to be found on project threads and builds that you cant give thanks or be thanked for.

Palio: its an easy fix, and a 2 minute job. all you need as an allen key thats it.

Dropped her off for MOT, again.

Considering it was fired up only 2 days ago, she did not want to start up this morning. It took two attempts and my right foot to get her going.



Heres my list of MOT failures:

OS brake light (Yes still, Mr scamp. )
Petrol leak
Handbrake travel
Nothing else, shes concours spec


I'm gonna be upset when I reply later, with 4 pages of failures.
