Panda (Classic) Charmanda(er) The Panda

Introduction

Name Change! Previously known as Charmania for anyone not in the know, she's had a slight rename, keeping the Char but sticking my favourite childhood Pokemon name in there, Charmander, mainly because the first time I ever encountered a Panda I was about 8 years old and Pokemon was my favourite thing in the whole world.

Some details,
1992 Fiat Panda 750 Mania
769cc FIRE engine.
Lowered 40mm.
Seicento Sporting Front Seats
Side Stripes for faster acceleration
Fiat 127 'Palio' Alloys.
Veglia Rev counter, so I can count my revs.

I washed her, wanted to take her somewhere nice for pictures but it hasn't been sunny for long enough to do that, so I'll get nicer pictures at some point....
Here she is now, Charmanda.

Sorry for the terrible lighting. Can't do much about the sun.
Where would that spoiler mount though? I can't quite make sense from the picture, I don't really want a roof/top of the tailgate spoiler, I know what you mean about the XR2, that's exactly what reminded me of this spoiler in the first place, the silly little lip spoiler that goes just under the rear-screen.
Yeah, that is a top of the tailgate job. I went for one like that because it doesn't mess too much with the load on the gas strut and they are plastic so weigh a lot less than that solid chunk of rubber.
Still tempted though, it's not unusual for me to have bits lying in the garage for a couple of years before I get round to fitting them. Braided brake hoses were in there forever!

Aha! But will it fit? and how many millions of pounds will the auction end at.

citreon zx (or some of them) had lower boot spoilers.. Can't think of any others off top of my head. Think the ax gt spoiler is probably a good one to look for though, might even fit without cutting it..
I started looking by googling 'Citroen tailgate spoiler' knowing that Citroen make a lot of small cars and tend to put a spoiler on just about anything, this search was followed up by profusely vomiting at the state of a Saxo.

Of course it'll fit! The question is how well will it fit, and will it look stupid?;)
...and yes, the classic Ford thing does tend to do scary price stuff too:(

How bad was the Saxo?

Hmm, I think I'll keep looking, I'm not sure how all these spoilers would actually look once on a Panda, might just go with one that's tried and tested...

As for the Saxo, I won't post the actual picture in my thread, but here's the link, I must warn, those who would like to keep their eyesight should not click on this link.

WOW:eek: can you not get one of those to put on?..and the bodykit?..Does anyone do lexus lights for a Panda?
Joking apart it's worrying that soon that will start to look all retro and cool and people will start doing it to their 90's classics to keep it period;)

When I had a pug 205 Gti i hated the Dimma body kits...I thing is they have now reached that retro cool..still don't like them, but have slightly warmed to the look.

I have found a real panda top spoiler supplier abroad...bit pricey though. I will stick a link up.
