Technical Changing rear drums

Could anyone tell me how easy is it to change the rear drums on a seicento? and if I was to do it myself what precautions should I take (can I do any damage?)

Which part, just face that also includes where the shoes press against? Easy and you'd be hard pushed to break stuff. Just remember that the handbrake has to be off

If you need to change the hub, or rear of the drum, then, shoes out which is a pita, pay special attention to eye protection due to the springs!!!

I would be defo chaning the shoes at the same time. Shoes wear out quicker than the drum, so they are likely gone too, unless changed recently. Then, as Kristian said, it goes into the pita mode a bit, try to locate lthe "tools needed" thread somewhere here to get some hints on how to ease up the job a bit.

lol, last time I took a drum off the shoe fell apart when I tried pushing it back on. My car was off the road for a day until I got a replacement set

If you are taking the shoes off, then you may as well fit new linkages for the handbrake too.

The springs for the shoes are a complete pain and at several points you will wonder why you started the job on your own! But after a while you workout a technique to lever them back on.

Don't need to remove shoes to change hub, its integral with the wheel bearing and comes off with the hubnut after the outer bit of drum is removed
