Right so i have change the whole headlight unit for one from the scrappy, the bracket had broke. When turned lights on, noticed that the bulb seem dimmer than the original. I want to swap the bulbs from my old headlight unit, but as i have a habit of undoing the wrong part normally, could someone point me in the right direction of where the bulb is actually located so i dont waste my time.

Which bulb?

Indicator is at the end near the wing. Twist off

Sidelights and dipped beam is in the middle. Chunky cover

Full beam is nearest the middle of the car. Flat rectangle cover

Indicator is a staggered pin orange bulb
Sidelight is a capless 5w bulb
Dipped/full beam is a H1, 55w (no 100w bulbs unless you have relays)

Hi Frustrated, just had to do exactly the same thing for same reason (bracket broke).
This may seem silly to ask but is the new housing seated in correctly? I noticed that after replacing the unit on mine the light was dim and was pointing downwards, next day had another look to find that there is a little ball on the edge of the housing that clips into a hole just inside the wing. Had a hell of a job getting it in there but once done everything now is perfect.
