Changing dial clocks in 1.4

Hi i have a 1.4S with no rev counter etc. and i want to put in a differet set of clocks from a different bravo. they both are the same size and both are digital but the only problem is that the connections are different so i cant connect them.

anyone know what i should do or where i can get the right connectors?

Just chop the connectors off and twist and solder the wires together, just make sure you have the right wires connected together!

what do you mean twist and solder? you mean dont even use plug connectors? im brutal at soldering fiddly things!

how do i know which wires connect where?

just went to scrappy and they dont have the plugs for the dials

Please can anyone help? even if i cut the wires how do I know where they connect to? the pins on the clocks are not colour coded so surely it would be dodgy to just guess? Plus the new clocks have more pins that old dials cuz of the connection for rev counter.

they wont work! sure its been tried before! those are mk2 dials yours is a mk1!

but my bravo is also digital! why would they not work? surely i can just get the right connections and then it will work?

dont think so im sure like ive said they are different! ya can try id guess and if u succeed im sure alot of ppl on ere will be wanting to kno how u acheived it
