replacement keys are only around £48 from fiat, i checked today as i want one myself. Also i had the same problem with one of my keys, try taking your key apart a common fault is the tiny red microswitch under the rubber button either disconnects (re-solder connections) or breaks (i got some old alarm key fobs from a scrappys and took them apart and found a replacement microswitch, *they do not have to be fiat keys your only afer a component*)

I have one of these units and they do literally take 5 mins to fit, and at £30 a bargain, they are around £70 from Fiat. However the one shown in the pic on e-bay shows two black oblong keyfobs, my key fobs are small round and in fiat blue, the same as the keys. If you look at the pic again you will see the set is layed out on the fitting instruction leaflet. At the top left hand side of this leaflet there is a pic of the relay and the two round key fobs that should be with it, so if you are thinking of buying it I would suggest you contact the seller and ask why the key fobs are different.

Or keep looking, because they come up on e-bay all the time and also on here from time to time aswel.

I got mine off here.:)

thanks martin, the key fob which came with my car was the same one as the ones shown in the picture so i should be alright. ill watch the auctions to see if i can get a decent buy.

May be a daft question but, Have you checked the battery?

Martin L. ;)

I have indeed, took the remote apart- changed battery etc.. not quite sure what is wrong with it. In future ill not try and play catch with my key fob. ;)
