Can anyone tell me is it ok that spark is present on the negative pole on the battery when I disconnect negative connector and just press it against the negative pole on the battery?

From what I know, that means that some of the electric systems of the car are running and that they are draininig the battery...

In my case it's central locking system. Functions are fine, the relay is ok, car is locking and unlocking regularly, no faults there.

I wonder is the central locking system built that way, is it allways operational (or under constant +12 V voltage), or is there some faults in the installation, bad negative connection somewhere that could cause the drainige of the electricity?

it's normal as far as i know, both of mine have done it, unless it's a massive spark i wouldn't worry tbh. i usually get a small spark and a little wisp of smoke. at least i assume it's normal, the batterys have been fine in both of my cars except when i accidently hooked up the boot light so it was constantly on:eek:

If you disconect your negative pole & put a test light between them . . . . . Making sure all the doors are closed & you have the keys on your person, If it lights up that means you definitely have a drain (y)

Hope this helps
