General CD Player

got a Y plate Mk2 1.2 ELX & I'm looking for a Radio/CD player to fit in dash. Single CD type is OK.

what model radio/cd player should I be looking for ?

Once taken out the standerd fiat head unit you will need a fascia adapter so your new head unit will fit in place you will get one out of your local fiat dealer for 15quid best head units i would say are alpine and pioneer but sony and jvc are ok..

Id go with something from pioneer, as they mostly all have ipod connectivity and som have bluetooth on them and personally i think that the pioneers are the best sound quality,
keep away from anything SONY., ive hade loads of them and they are the most expensive, worst quality ive ever had and sometimes they have a mind of their own. my CDX-M 8800 used to higher itself up all the time and would freeze and i couldnt shut the thing up.,,

they go really cheap, y splash the cash if u only wanna play a cd

and if u wanted a named cd player u do need a fascia but their no more than a 5 in ur local car mod shop not 15

Yeah guess your talking about those s**** autoleads ones that you have to cut away at your dash to fit..

i have a non official one of a last second bit on ebay cost me £2.48 fitted a treat

I got a fiat dealer one for 1.50 off ebay fitted with no problems just the autoleads seem to be a problem with some people the clips on them are to short i think... Im just guessing he might not have ebay account..

I got my fascia from halfords, and it didn't fit! ... they had to file away at the plastic frame and it still didn't fit! at the moment it's just the cage thats holding in the fascia! My fault for trying Halfords really!!:bang: Cheap Crap. If you're going to get a fascia try and get an official one then you shouldn't have a problem

erm, i think the problem with the fascia's not fitting may be due to the fact some people put the cage on first..

happened to me! i put the cage in first and the fascia didnt fit properly on...

it goes Fascia on, then cage!!

Yeah thats the autolead ones for you clips are to short..
