Hi Guys had my little 500 since november and all in all its been great, well except the Blue and Me stopped working and today the CD Player just stopped working!!

Its been fine and today i wanted a change of music so took the disc out that was playing and then every disc i put in afterwards just didn't work and i kept getting the "CD ERROR" message - has anyone else had this message ?

It might pay to pull the fuse (No 4 I think) in the fusebox above the passenger parcel shelf just to reset the audio. There is supposed to be a fuse puller inside the lid but I couldn't find mine so you might need a pair of thin nose pliers or tweezers to remove the fuse.

Either that or use the quick release on the battery terminal and leave disconnected for 30 seconds or so before replacing.

The only caveat might be that you will need to reset your language selection in the menu system, I did and managed to select German by mistake.

Open the bonnet and pop a battery connector off. Leave it off for 15 mins. You don't need any tools, one of the battery cables just sort of slides off. Worked a treat a while back when my Blue&Me freaked out and stopped working.

cheers

This did the trick! I had the same problem. It was actually fuse # 5 (5th down on the left column), and it's a squeeze to get to it, but pulling it for a few minutes and putting it back in fixed my CD player.
