Anyone know any good Cd buring software availble for download for free, I used to use Itunes but now that doesn't work and so I want to write a Cd to incorporate CD text, but windows media player doesn't let you!

Thanks

Nero 7.

Well its free if you download from a torrent site.

:nono: it's all very well downloading from a torrent site, but you don't really now what you are downloading. Although it says on the download it is Nero and the executable might be called Nero there is the possibility you run the risk of installing a trojan. I could create a trjoan, call it Nero 7.exe, upload it to torrent site for people to download and you would not really now, those that now will agree with me.

Download a trusted application from a trusted site. By all means download an application from a torrent site but if it goes pear shaped you will have to sort it out.

Depends on the site in question - if you want to deal with public trackers then that is the risk you take, I only deal with private and scene releases, never have any issues unless nuked.

I've got a foundation degree in network security and have worked for many big companies and now the MOD regarding their IT security. The threat of trojan's and viruses are generally overated most are wrote by pissant adolescent spotty faced loners that don't have a clue. If you set up your home network properly the trojan can't do anything anyway as access to it external to LAN inwards will be blocked and LAN to Internet will be blocked.

I've been downloading dodgy software since the internet was born by many different methods.... P2P, Russian FTP's, IRC, Torrent etc. I've never not once had a virus infect my PC. I've had 1-2 alerts before the software was unpacked it was then deleted. As STU said there is a lot more risk on rubbish public trackers but as long as your network is setup properly and you have AV then go for it (y).

As for CD/DVD burning I have just one word "Nero" There is no other package on Windows that offers what nero does.
