Todays Progress:-
So this is the combination of a few things, the induction is pretty much finished with its seperate bits, i painted the engine cover just so it looks a little tidyer, Yes i am still to actually RR her, so i have no clue how much she is running, the tuning box is running fab aswell. All in all im pretty happy with her at the moment.
Pics Below, I know the chequers are not to everyones taste but there to mine and i LIKE them LOL. I also have got the hammerite out to paint the calipers and the rears in blue.

Yep, dude mine used to do that and the top mounts were shagged easy job to replace, I got mine from Chris @ Souls.

Reu do u think mines the drop links or the bars deffo think its one of them

either a drop link is knackered or somethings catching underneath by the wish bones I would say, when me and James went for a drive we only heard it once when we drove out the car park. something is defiantly loose/broke/damaged for it to be banging when driving though. can you feel the bang in the steering wheel?

right okay. well just been round a roundabout with window down and it did a few times whilst turning.

IF it is the top mounts, how long can it go on without replacement?

I know i know the best thing to do is replace asap, but if it is not urgent and can wait until next month, i could do with leaving it.

Mine knocked for a good 3 months before i replaced mine but there only 35 quid to replace when i done mine.

Reu - I cannit feel a shake as of yet, its definatly next weekends job to have a look

I recon it could be something just damaged or loose then :)

top mounts were £25 + vat where i got them from

right okay, problem is i may have to get timing belt replaced so anything else can wait hopefully.

thank you

timing belt is allot more important :p

Gahhhhh shes still clunking its doing my utter bounce in!

Anyone know anyone thats got a Ramp in the Lancashire or North East area

Ok so it's been touch and go over the last week or so as to if I was going to keep her, went through an out of love phase with her defiantly! Clunking being the main reason.

Anyways moving forward, dropped her off in Wakefield for a weekend with ex FF'er B3NNETT, on the agenda find and fix her clunk and carry out the 74k service.

Clunk was found to be new drop links needed, so off to ECP he trundled for those on Saturday and carried out the service for me, txt yesterday to say she was ready to pick up on my way back for being down south.

My god I love her again!

She's still on her ass, moves with ease and tisch, and more importantly has me in love with her, my Casper ain't going nowhere!

jodie, I know I should probably know where these are after they've been clunking for weeks now, but could you tell me where I can find the drop links?

im still trying to put off having them done for now but it does get annoying....IF it is them that are making the noise.

Not ex FF'er just estranged lol.

Just to clarify the coilies didn't make the droplinks go, whoever fitted the coilovers just didn't tighten the nuts up, so everytime it went over a bump they slopped about.

Can't blame them wanting to kill it though, it is the most awkward car i've worked on to date, and that includes the alfa thats in pieces on my drive :D
