Technical Cargo Rear Door Stopper

My new Cargo rear door stopper was broken, meaning the door didn't snap open (and has already closed on me once or twice).

I've ordered a replacement (eBay Link) and last night I spent 10 minutes looking at it but it doesn't seem as straight forward as I thought.

The bit that is broke is the plastic on the left hand side of the image. So ignore the yellow holder it locks in to, that bit is fine. Anyone done this before or got any advice? I've downloaded the eLearn CD but it seems to be for an older Doblo which has a different mechanism.

You have to remove plastic where the number plate is, door card off as well.

I thought as much. It seems to have some form of sealing foam, what's the best way to reseal this after

Ok I've managed, took the plastic off at one side and managed to pry it out enough to get access. Bit fiddly though.

Just sealed it up again using a little clear silicone - can't see it and at least it's water right again.
