Car Transporter Hire

Hi guys & gals, I could use a little help.

I need to move a car next week - about 25 miles in the South Bucks area - and wondered if you know of anyone who'd either quote a decent price to move it for me or hire me a flatbed transporter so I can do the job myself. The car has fluid flywheel transmission so will need to be moved with the wheels off the ground.

Might be worth checking gumtree etc, ocassionally companies advertise on there. I'd expect between £40-£100 for what you want

List it on Shiply too, I got the Seicento on a transporter from Hudds to my new place about 12 miles away for £30 I think it was.

A quick update - Shiply came up with two quotes, both over £100 .

The independents I found via Google wanted similar money .

I found a local guy up the road with a 3.5t transporter who quoted me £60 and did a brilliant job . Took him around 3 1/2 hrs by the time we'd loaded & unloaded the car & all its spares, plus he stayed to help until everything was safely packed away in its new home, rather than just dropping it off and driving away. I gave him £80 - it still felt like I was robbing him but he seemed well chuffed so we both went away happy. .
