Can anyone recommend a decent car phone holder for the GP? I bought one off Ebay for £4 and turns out it's pants (unsurprisingly I suppose).

It wobbles up and down and had to check in case I had bought a nodding dog holder by mistake FFS.

I'd like one with a sucker I can stick to the front 1/4 window if possible. Looking for a good quality one so don't mind paying a wee teenie bit over the odds if it's worth it.

My phone is a Samsung i8510 (about the same size as a Nokia N95 8 GB).

Many Thanks :)

Cheers for that.

Where do I put my phone then? Do I need to buy another holder to attach to the proclip? Sorry this is all a bit new to me. I've only ever had one phone holder and that clipped to the vent.

Please excuse my stupidity/lack of knowledge :)

Ye no worrys, Ye once you have bought the proclip (wheather that be the side of the radio mounted one or the air vent one) Then you need to by the phone holder to mount onto it. Normaly it just attaches using M3 tape or you could use screws. Looking on there they dont seem to have the exact holder for your phone which is a bit odd  They have the holder for the N95 if thats anyhelp, might be worth dropping them a message to see if they do it. The only reason i suggest them is becuase from my experiances (not in a fiat but in a work van) and from what people have told me the phone is held very well and the clip says very firmly inplace. But certainly the proclip is very good and worth a try, its just a case of finding the phone holder? The main reason i bought it for the van realy, is i hate wires going right up to the screen, over the top of the radio. Hence this just makes it short and neat :)

Hey,

Thanks very much for the help guys. The Autotrader article was very interesting and considered getting the Kondor one until I finally found one on Ebay that is specific to my phone

Apparently it's much better to use a custom made one if you can find it so gonna go with this.

Decided not to go with the one that mounts between the radio as it's a wee bit pricey and I want to bring it on holiday with me for a rental car.

My lovely Fiance bought me the Brodit Proclip for the iPhone for my Bday (And let me have it almost a month early)

Fitted tonight and its great!! Little expensive but worth it for the custom fit. Just need to get a black iPhuck lead and sneak it out through the steering shroud i think.
