Bloody hell!

Well i have only just turned 20, was 19 when i got my quote with 2 yrs no claims

CIS insurance, 35% discount for passplus, 1 crash = £1199

Sucks butt cheeks that was the cheapest as well. I laughed at Tesco askin for £2300

I'm with tesco, but may be changing come renewal.

But I'm older than most of you, and married, so I should be getting cheaper quotes anyway! :) ;)

But what I've tended to find that is as soon as I mention an induction kit, insurers don't want to know!

particularly Esure who say they only insure good drivers, but didn't want to know about the induction kit, even if I took it off, because even then it would have been modified!

I'm going to be trying Elephant and Greenlight when my renewal comes round.

I think you will find that not one insurance company will be the cheapest, best bet is to go through the yellow pages or find a web site that will search loads of insurers for you.

if you use the sites who search many insurers for you it won't find you the cheapest deal as the will charge a rate on top of and add it to what the actuall insurer will quote if you phone them direct, best to phone though them all individually, but at the end of the day if you write off your car with an induction kit they wont be able to see it if you have a front end smash, if you have a rear end smash just pop the bonnet and put the standard airbox on, far easier than paying extra money.

my first car was a laguna with bodykit exhaust tinted windows upgraded brakes induction kit, 18" wheels and lowered about 70mm, and when i crashed it they didnt mention a single mod, i hadnt declaired anything, that was with CIS,i hadnt even declaired any of my points

 Just got an insurance quote now i am 20 to see what it would drop to, nearly dropped £200  not a happy bunny since i only get the insurance september :smt065

Try admiral.com. They've been good for me.

Also... if you are in a steady relationship and your GF has at least a provisional licence you should add her to the policy.

I added my chick to my policy and saved loads. My bro saved about a hundred quid when he added his gf to his insurance. Everyone I know who tried this saved money.
