Car CD Player - Any Good?

I'm looking for a cheap (and I mean cheap) CD player for the car. I found this one on eBay, does anyone know if it would be any good or is it a case of you get what you pay for?

It's only for the Panda which I don't drive every day and I have one in the Brava already so that's why I don't want to spend much on it.

It will be more than good enough for the panda speakers.

You may get a lot better if you go for a second hand unit, I know I paid similar for a very nice JVC unit for the uno.

I know it's the bottom end of the market and most of you spend hundreds on CD players, but I found this one on Argos for £39.99.

One one on ebay is a lot lot bayer, 7w output is awful.

7w output is a bit poor even for a cheap head unit.theres goodmans/aiwa HU on ebay as well.personally thought the one i posted was a nice looking HU for the panda

The 4 x 7W one isnt as bad as you make out. when you take into account thats 7W RMS.

Most headunits dont go on the RMS value rather the peak values. Which can be rather a lot higher. I think the 4 x 50w alpine units only put out around 18w RMS if i remember correctly plus to lazy to go look right now. But there usually in excess of £300.
