General can't get key into passsenger key lock

i have had no problems with my key lock, untill today i have aFiat CINQUECENTO from 1993, ex condition, but i locked the doors from the passenger side the other day, as i pulled the key out it unlocked, i discovered that i had the driveer door slightly open.

now i cannot get the key into the passenger side, all other doors , no problem can anyone hel, the key goes in half and thats it,

If the lock hasnt been used much it's possible the tumblers are stuck. I'd buy a can of WD40, put the plastic tube on the nozzle and give it a tiny squirt (the little plastic pipe is taped to the can). Dont squirt to much though!
