Can I undo this bolt on the pump ?????????

Need some quick advice..

Can I undo this bolt on the pump and move aside this whole connection? There looks to be a valve under the black plastic cap on top, so I'm a bit weary!

I want to remove the heatshield, but I need to move the hose aside that runs up to this connection from the bottom of the rad.

Is this the air con motor or power steering pump, or both incidentally?

That valve under the cap is for the air cons high pressure part of the system.
And the aluminium hose next to it is the air con conduct.
So I think dont unscrew it. Or you will need to bleed and refill the air con system.

Air con compresser..does that not change the advice from your pervious post.

If you mean to take off the compressor, than you could take it off.
But you would have to leave the pipes and the screw you are pointing on the compressor, not to lose the air con gas.

If you undo that bolt, it will release the refrigerant gas in the system, just like the valve will under the plastic cap.

take it to somewhere that deals with aircon to safely remove the gas before you remove anything.

Was a bit of a squeeze, but I got the heatshield off

Three branches down, two to go
Only just remembered bout 2hr OC tho. DOH!!!

Hi Daz. Got bloody tarp strung from the garage door to the bonnet cos o the rain, and my backs bloody killing Front pipes already done at least. Will get around to that oil change some time to day

Gettin to know my mule

Right..front pipes done. Manifold..all five branches, done. Just readin how to flush engine for coolant before I do that.

Then in goes the oil flush before a ten minute drive, then flush that too.

Holds over 7 so need 4 really i suppose.
On my bike to the shell garage then..!
