Hi,

Just worked out today the total current draw that my new system is going to use.

50amps for one amp
40 amps for second amp
car puter 15 amps

105 amps in total!

Will my bravo (1.4sx) be able to handle this?

Regards

John

are you sure those are not the fuse ratings? Seems a little high to me. i honestly cant see your amp pulling 50amps. i guess your amp is 600w? i doubt it will be 600w contineous, i run an 800w and a 500w amp and i only have a 30 amp fuse upfront.

If you really mean 105Amps, then the answer is no.

Those are ABSOLUTE max values, in normal use the amp would never draw that much, maybe 15-20% even when played loud.

Hi,

That is the sum of all the fuses in each of the amps and the carputer

The jl pdf says that it has a 50 amp fuse in the 500/1 and a 40 amp fuse in the 300/4 - my psu has a 15 amp fuse in it.

in that case it will not draw that much. i'm sure your car will be ok, if you don't have a meter that can cope with that sort of current and you want to know what it will draw then get it all running at peak with different fuses in, if it blows a 20amp and not a 30amp you know the current is somewhere inbetween 20 adn 30 amps for example.
